Medical ethics in the context of the National Mental Health Programme.

چکیده
Medical ethics examines not only violations of individual integrity in clinical practice but also the sanction that available policies and legislation grant to questionable medical practices. The ethical issues in psychiatry are to be examined in the context of the liaisons between the practices of medi.cal and paramedical institutions, our recent national policy on mental health care and the narrowly construed Mental Health Act (1987) currently in effect.
